Exporting Data from Power Church
Exporting People
Within Power Church, navigate to "Membership" > "Personal Profiles" > "Other Output" > "Export Data"
Selection Criteria
Write down all the Date Field Names (these will be the names for date1 - date 12, or take a screenshot and send it.). The list is located in the lower left corner.
Click "OK"
Introduction
Click "OK"
What fields would you like to export
This is where you select the fields to import
Click ">>" Button to select all fields
Contributions are done by envelope number, so make sure you include it if importing contributions
Click "Next" Button
What type of export file format would you like to create
Select Excel 5
Click "Next" Button
What would you like to name the export file
Click "Location"
Browse and Name your file (Drive M: is your local C: drive)
Click "Next" Button
Finish
Click "Finish" Button
Exporting Giving
Within Power Church, navigate to "Contributions" > "Reports - Contributions"
Select the "Posted Contributions" Report
Click "Send to Disk File"
Click "Run"
Select Dates
Check "Include Contribution Designations"
Check "Include Contribution Memo"
Click "OK" Button
if you get a default printer error, select a different printer. After you select it you will be giving the file location dialog box.
Save As: Excel Spreedsheet (include the file extention: .xls)
If you have "UnPosted Contributions" repeat steps 2 thru 6
Importing Data into Breeze
Sign in to your Breeze Account
Click the More tab in the top right
Click Tasks from the dropdown
Click the category on the left that you'd like to import (e.g. People, Giving, Tags, etc)
Download and open the template file
Remove the sample data and populate the template file by copy/pasting applicable columns from your Power Church exported file(s). Be sure to keep the first row of the template file intact.
Save file as a .csv file type.
When finished, use the same screen to upload your file to complete the import
